Aplos Enhances Startup Wizard of its Nonprofit Accounting Software

Nonprofit and faith-based cloud accounting product maker Aplos Software has released a new, user-friendly Startup Wizard for its flagship, Web-based nonprofit accounting software suite.

The new startup guide in Aplos Accounting is designed to walk customers through customizing their account for their unique needs in approximately 15 minutes or less.

Aplos Accounting is designed for any small or mid-sized nonprofit organization, whether they are a 501(c)3, private foundation, church or other faith-based organization. In addition to fund accounting, the nonprofit will be able to prepare a 2013 budget and import any 2012 donations to print contribution statements by IRS deadline of January 31, 2013. Other available Apps include budgeting, bank reconciliation, check printing and a people database to manage donor and vendor contact information.

“Many of our customers tried Quickbooks for nonprofits, but found it confusing and more expensive than they expected. In addition, it is not designed to do true fund accounting – tracking your income and expenses as they relate to specific purposes or funds, which is essential to managing your nonprofit,” said Aplos Software co-founder and CPA Tim Goetz. “Aplos Accounting guides you through the process of creating these funds and accounts so you can quickly, easily and affordably follow the best practices for nonprofit accounting.”
