Cloud accounting provider FreshBooks has partnered with cloud payroll service ZenPayroll, aiming at providing a joint service to small business owners and sole proprietors.

The deal marks FreshBooks' first official integration with a payroll service provider. The integration is designed so that customers no longer have to manually enter their payroll data. Payroll expenses, adjustments and cancellations can be automatically viewed in FreshBooks every time payroll is run.

“We are thrilled to work with the team at FreshBooks because they share our passion for creating incredibly easy to use, delightful software. This partnership will help millions of small business owners manage both payroll and accounting in the cloud,” said ZenPayroll chief executive and co-founder Joshua Reeves. “By automating processes that previously required manual data entry, we’re freeing people to focus on growing their small businesses, the lifeblood of our economy.”
