ITA Rounds Out New Board of Directors

The Information Technology Alliance (ITA) has appointed Forepoint Inc. president Kevin Cumley to chairman of the board of directors, while Affinity NFP principal Annette Balgord is now vice chairman.

[IMGCAP(1)]The ITA membership is comprised of executives from technology consultants, top accounting firms, and technology vendors serving the accounting marketplace.

Cumley helped develop the ITA’s emerging leader program in 2012, and has recently been appointed chair of the ITA Young Leader committee. He has been on the ITA board since 2010 as has Balgord.

[IMGCAP(2)]The ITA board roster also includes John Bowles, CIO, Dixon Hughes Goodman; Yvonne Scott, CIO, Crowe Horwath ; Peyton Burch, senior channel executive, Intacct; Kelly Hummel, CEO, Axis Integrated Solutions; Shawn Slavin, vice president, CS3 Technologies; and Brian Austin, director of accountant and industry relations, Avalara.

“This is an impressive and well-represented board of directors, and one which I feel strongly will guide ITA into an even stronger leadership position within the accounting technology community,” said recently appointed ITA president and former McGladrey principal Stan Mork. “While we’re actively continuing to develop programs, sub-groups and curriculum targeted squarely at our members currently holding partner or executive-level positions at CPA and technology firms, a key area of focus for this board will be the ongoing development of programs for a fast-growing younger ITA demographic. Our new board is on firm footing for recognizing where ITA stands today, and the next steps needed to continue this effort to draw young professionals into ITA.”
