SAP AG today announced new capabilities for its SAP Business ByDesign product, which leverage SAP HANA, mobile and cloud technologies and global version expansion.

The news comes after confirming in October that the company would be “slowing” development of the Business ByDesign product.
Features and enhancements delivered in the latest release of SAP Business ByDesign include a new country version for Japan, which augments existing Asia Pacific regional versions for China, India, Australia and New Zealand; availability on the SAP HANA platform; expanded competitive pricing options based on user-defined criteria such as region, type or class of customer and industry-specific criteria; and the addition of the SAP Business in Focus mobile app, which enables users to analyze budget forecasts, visualize financial information, collaborate through an enterprise social network and get real-time insight from internal and external cloud applications via iPad.
