SAP Aims to Simplify First-Time ERP Deployments

SAP AG has released the SAP ERP Foundation Extension, a new offering designed to enable companies new to SAP to implement a system optimized to their specific needs, as well as deploy SAP more efficiently though their organization.

SAP ERP Foundation Extension spans core processes such as finance, human resources, IT management, manufacturing, procurement, sales and service and compliance.

Deployment options for SAP ERP Foundation Extension range from the established on premises landscapes to hybrid models to private cloud environments, such as the SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud service or any SAP partner cloud offering.

SAP ERP Foundation Extension combines SAP ERP with a range of capabilities in bundled applications including SAP Business Objects; SAP Access Control; SAP Fiori; SAP Cloud for Sales; SAP NetWeaver Process Integration and Single Sign-On software; and SAP HANA.

“SAP ERP Foundation Extension is an extended offering designed with the power of SAP HANA, the beautiful usability of SAP Fiori and analytics and mobile integrated into one platform — a complete rapid-deployment solution,”  said Chakib Bouhdary, executive vice president, industry solutions and customer value at SAP. “This is one of the most sophisticated ERP offerings in the market run by SAP and its partners across the world. This is another example of SAP innovating and driving high value for our customers as never seen before.”
