Readers, it gives me great pleasure to (re)introduce you to Accounting Technology, a dedicated source of news and insights for today’s and tomorrow’s technology consultants, resellers, firm technology partners and everyone else who’s interested in the way technology is reshaping accounting.

In short, anyone who is influencing the sale, use or implementation of accounting-related technology will now have a full-time resource for this evolving world.

I say re-introduce because as some of you may remember, Accounting Technology is already an established brand that was read by much of the same audience we are targeting with the re-launch. Rather than a monthly print publication, you will find a website and a weekly (for now) email newsletter that will deliver the latest news and useful technology-related information to help you better run your business.

With the ever-growing need for information and best practices on evolving technology in the accounting space – be it cloud, mobile, SaaS, etc. – our current readership, along with those who are closely affiliated with our core readers, deserve to have a quality source and a voice. This is what Accounting Technology is and will be.

Since joining Accounting Today over 10 years ago, and then returning as its Technology Editor in 2010, I have seen a vast evolution not only in accounting-related technologies themselves, but in the firms that work closely with them. There is currently a paradigm shift in progress in the world of business technology and, as a result, accounting firms, technology consultants and resellers alike are being affected and asking themselves existential questions. Accounting Technology will be there to help answer those questions, and serve as a source that shows where your world is at and going.
