Acumatica Appoints Jon Roskill as CEO

Acumatica, cloud-based enterprise resource planning solutions provider for small and medium-sized companies, has appointed Jon Roskill as chief executive officer, effective immediately.

Roskill, with 25 years of leadership experience in the software business including 20 with Microsoft, will succeed Yury Larichev.

“This is the perfect time to enter the ERP marketplace,” stated Roskill. “It’s a market worth $60 billion, so capturing even just one percent of that revenue is incredible. It’s time the stodgy, old ERP scene got a shake-up. Acumatica is perfectly positioned to disrupt this space with its innovative Cloud ERP technology. As a long-time channel builder, I am especially excited about Acumatica’s 100 percent commitment to sell with and through partners.”

“I’m happy to have taken Acumatica this far,” stated Larichev, who will stay on through March to ease the transition. “Since I joined, Acumatica has seen tremendous growth, and this will continue under Jon’s leadership. He is the right person, at the right time, for Acumatica. I’m excited to see him take Acumatica to new heights.”

While Larichev’s new role will be announced shortly, he will stay on the Acumatica board as an advisor.

“I’m impressed with the direction Acumatica has taken under Yury,” Roskill stated. “I thank him for handing me a company poised for incredible growth, with a great worldwide team that is passionate about making waves in the business software space.”

Roskill held a variety of roles at Microsoft and was most recently corporate vice president, leading the worldwide partner group comprising more than 5,000 employees and 640,000 partners. He also ran all Microsoft U.S. business operations, strategy and marketing, with $20 billion in sales, and was general manager of the server and developer tools division. Roskill, who began his career as a programmer is also an active start-up investor, popular public speaker and father.

Last year, Acumatica posted 350 percent year-over-year revenue growth, grew to more than 270 partners, and acquired customers that included e-Recycling and Youngevity.

“I’m here and I’m ready to make some impact,” Roskill stated. “I love being an underdog and taking the bigger guys on. It’s time Acumatica made its stamp on ERP history. Bring it on.”
