App of the Week

This week: LogMeIn computer remote control app

The LogMeIn apps are essentially your mobile remote control device to your Mac or PC and increasingly mobile practitioners and consultants are finding this app incredibly useful, since they don’t need to be concerned about being away from their computers.

The app helps users securely connect to the devices and data they may have left at home or the office. The LogMeIn app for iPads and iPhones allows users to remotely run any application on their computer or even fix computer problems remotely for business or personal IT.  This is in addition to accessing files and folders on computer hard drives.

For Android users there’s also LogMeIn Ignition which works with the LogMeIn Free version. Optionally, users can choose to use LogMeIn Pro as well. Once you purchase LogMeIn Ignition from the Android Market, you will need to install either version of the LogMeIn software on the computers that you want to access from your Android device. Once you have purchased the Ignition app from the market, no other purchase from LogMeIn is required to use the Ignition app.

You can visit the Apple App Store or Android store for more info and downloads.
