App of the Week: World Clock

American companies -- like your clients -- enjoy a few advantages when it comes to operating abroad or doing business in foreign countries, chief among them being that our money and our language are pretty much universal. What's not universal, though, is our time -- and as there are few quicker ways to ruin a deal than to call a prospect in the middle of the night, you'll want to make sure you know what times it is, both where you are and where they are.

The World Clock apps from the folks at timeanddate.com, which are available free for iPhones, iPads and Android devices, make sure you never wake a business partner up. In addition to giving you the time anywhere in the world, they also let you find the time difference between any number of locations (handy for scheduling), and set alarms in local time.

The developer also has a number of other time-related apps for Apple devices, including a New Year's countdown, interactive time zone maps, a day-and-night map, a calendar and holidays app, and more.
