Sales tax and compliance automation service provider Avalara has introduced AvaTax Consumer Use, its automated consumer use tax offering, which will be integrated with most billing, financial and ERP systems – the first of which will be Microsoft Dynamics ERP products.

Avalara is launching the service for Dynamics ERP users next week at Microsoft’s Convergence 2013 customer and partner event in New Orleans. Avalara previously offered a tailored consumer use tax service that was primarily suited for larger enterprises.

AvaTax Consumer Use utilizes Avalara’s tax decision engine and is seamlessly integrated with a user’s accounting system. Tax calculation can be scheduled to fit with a company’s filing schedule and processed with a click of a button. Tax data is then automatically made available to AvaTax Returns.

“We’re building a compliance cloud aimed at combining the best available content with industry-leading technology to deliver the best sales, use and value added tax calculation and filing solutions to business of all sizes. AvaTax Consumer Use will play a starring role in that equation, said Avalara founder and chief executive Scott McFarlane. “Avalara’s consumer use SaaS solution relieves accounting departments of this risk and burden by automating calculation and compliance tasks so businesses can focus on more valuable activities.”
