Bill.com Appoints Bob Lewis Senior Director of Channels, Alliances

Digital business payments provider Bill.com announced the hiring of Bob Lewis as senior director of channels and alliances.

Lewis’ experience in sales, marketing, business development and channel management in accounting comes from his revenue-contributing roles at Concur, Microsoft, Intuit, Intacct and ADP, among others. In this role, Lewis will spearhead and manage relationships with strategic partners like NetSuite, Intuit and Xero and lead the accounting channel sales team.

“Bob’s depth of experience perfectly complements the Bill.com mission to help businesses pay and get paid more quickly,” stated Sheela Zemlin, senior vice president of sales and customer success for Bill.com. “I welcome him to the team and look forward to his contributions as we continue our rapid expansion.”

Lewis was senior director of business development at Concur, where he created and launched high-growth global sales channels, developed relationships with ERP and financial accounting software companies, and managed a global team of strategic alliance and business development professionals. With Microsoft, he created the Microsoft Professional Accountants’ Network and drove marketing campaigns targeting accounting professionals while presenting at CPA-focused events.

“Bill.com is rapidly becoming an indispensable automation platform for accounting firms as they position themselves to serve clients more effectively in the era of cloud and mobile apps,” stated Lewis. “I am thrilled to join the Bill.com team and help drive innovation in the accounting profession.”

Lewis earned his degree in accounting at Santa Clara University, worked as an audit associate with Coopers & Lybrand (now PwC) and is now a non-practicing CPA.
