BlackLine Hires Mark Partin as CFO

Finance controls and automation software provider BlackLine announced the hiring of Mark Partin as chief financial officer.

Most recently serving as CFO at Fiberlink Communications, which was sold to IBM, Partin has experience overseeing finance organizations for high-growth companies. In his new role with BlackLine, Partin will be responsible for helping the company to continue to drive growth for its software solutions.

“Mark brings terrific skills to our finance and accounting team  from his experience at several growing companies where he was instrumental in providing the finance vision, strategy and leadership to help the organizations get to the next level,”  stated BlackLine CEO Therese Tucker. “With Mark at the finance helm, I’m confident we’ll be well positioned to meet our growth goals moving forward.”

Partin has held CFO positions at several public and privately held companies in the technology industry. In his 20 years of finance and operations experience, he has managed a successful IPO, completely multiple M&A deals, raised capital in debt and equity markets, and managed shareholder exits.

Until its sale to IBM, Partin was CFO at the privately held global SaaS company Fiberlink Communications. Prior to that, Partin was CFO at Headhunter.net (now Careerbuilder.com). He began his career as a CPA with Arthur Andersen and holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

BlackLine’s former CFO Charles Best will remain with the company as chief accounting officer.
