CPA Firm HPC Supports NC IDEA Grants for Startups

Hughes Pittman & Gupton, a CPA firm providing financial management services to local, multi-state and international businesses, announced support of NC IDEA, which provides grants to North Carolina-based startup companies.

Twice a year, four to six companies are selected to receive grants to support business activities that validate market potential, reduce the risk of early failure and advance projects to the point of sustainability to make them suitable for private equity investment.

“As an advocate and supporter of technology and startup companies, we are pleased to offer our services to NC IDEA grant winners,” stated Brooks Malone, partner at HPG and technology practice lead. “The winning companies show great potential in the industry, and we are happy to donate time and resources to further strengthen their establishment and growth.”

Malone and other HPG members have supported the firm’s focus on incubator and entrepreneurial development programs by regularly providing mentoring and sponsorships to companies involved with First Flight, The Startup Factory, HQ Raleigh and CED.
