Host Analytics Announces Summer 2014 Release

Host Analytics, cloud-based enterprise performance management provider, announced its Summer 2014 release with new features and enhancements to process automation, reporting, analytics and strategic planning.

The new release provides deep integration with Box, enabling organizations to streamline data processing and automatically move and load financial information from flat files with the security of Box, and without the need for third-party integration platforms.

“Host Analytics Summer 2014 breaks new ground in automating financial processes, delivering deeper planning and analytics capabilities, and giving executives the tools and dashboards they need to make better, smarter and faster decisions, ” stated Host Analytics CEO Dave Kellogg. “We’re committed to a rapid and continuous pace of innovation for our customers, with a cloud-based delivery model to ensure that they’re always taking advantage of new functionality without the upgrade headaches of legacy on-premises EPM software.”

With its Box integration, the new Cloud Scheduler gives customers the benefit of “lights-out” processing when integrating data from financial and accounting files and the ability to schedule a data upload from Box and move flat file data into the Host Analytics Cloud Platform. Future releases of the Cloud Scheduler will further automate processes, such as consolidation, publishing of board books and financial reports, and other maintenance, integration and distribution tasks.

Report Collections, another new capability of the Summer 2014 release, gives finance and accounting a way to automate the generation and distribution of reports.

The new release also offers new dashboards for CFOs, with an at-a-glance summary of key metrics delivered through high-level charts, reports and narratives, and features like self-service business intelligence, 24 pixel-perfect chart types and interactive drill-down.

Additional enhancements were made to report generator tool Dynamic Reports, with more options in grouping and drilling into data and insights.

Another new feature, Time Sets, gives organizations the ability to conduct strategic planning over longer time horizons, by inputting data in quarterly and annual time frames and creating multi-year plans.
