RubinBrown Forms Cyber Security Advisory Services

RubinBrown announced it has formed a new Cyber Security Advisory Services group, appointing Rob Rudloff to lead the national accounting and consulting firm’s new group.

The Cyber Security Advisory Services team will perform services in four areas: security advisory services such as high-level health checks to chief information security officer on-call services; technical security services including vulnerability and penetration testing; breach response planning like plan development and vendor validation; service organization control reporting (SOC2) that includes auditing security and reporting.

“In today’s technology-driven world, all organizations, no matter the industry, size or location, are susceptible to a cybersecurity breach. We recognize the growing need for cybersecurity assistance for our clients as their services and organizations continue to expand and interact within the digital space,” stated Rudloff. “RubinBrown provides cyber security advisory services to all four of our offices, serving clients nationwide.”

Rudloff, located in the Denver office, leads a team of security and IT professionals with an average 20 years of experience in the industry, performing assessments and advisory services across a range of compliance, best practice and internationally recognized standards. Longtime RubinBrown partner Audrey Katcher also serves as practice lead for the group.

Rudloff, who recently served as chief information officer for the University of Denver, specializes in application and network security vulnerability and penetration testing, security policy and procedure support, security posture reviews, mitigation support, and architectural development. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional and Information Systems Security Management Professional who is a member of the Information Systems Security Association, International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium, and InfraGard.

Rudloff began his career with the U.S. Air Force and served at the Pentagon and National Security Agency before transitioning to his information security consulting career.

Audrey Katcher assists with the SOC2 reporting service and IT risk assessment. She serves on the Trust Information Integrity Task Force of the American Institute of CPAs and was named one of the Missouri Society of CPAs’ Women to Watch in 2010.
