Wipfli Champions National Security Awareness Month

CPA and consulting firm Wipfli announced it has become a champion of National Security Awareness Month, joining colleges, businesses, government agencies, associations, nonprofits and individuals in promoting online safety awareness.

National Cyber Security Month, celebrated in October, was created by government and industry to promote the resources to stay safe and secure online.

“With the increased frequency of cyber incidents, Wipfli continues to proactively serve our clients by providing cyber security services and information that can reduce the impact of a cyber-attack should they become victims,” stated Bob Cedergren, Wipfli’s risk advisory and forensic services practice leader. “Vigilance and preparation are necessary components of an effective cyber security program.”

NCSAM, now in its 12th year, was coordinated and is led by the National Cyber Security Alliance and Department of Homeland Security.

"The Champion Program is a vital part of making National Cyber Security Awareness Month a success each year,” stated Michael Kaiser, executive director of the National Cyber Security Alliance. “We are thankful to our 2015 champion organizations for their support and commitment to our shared responsibility of promoting cyber security and online safety awareness."
