Steve Blundell, who co-wrote the Accountants Trial Balance, is retiring after an 11-year career with Intuit. Blundell is also retiring after 17 years with a CPA firm in Delray Beach, Fla.

Blundell and partner Larry Wolfe wrote a business tax package called DirectLink that was purchased by ChipSoft in March 1993, which in turn was quickly purchased by Intuit. An Intuit vice president, Blundell had been involved in mergers and acquisitions. He will continue working for Intuit part-time as a consultant.
