Not-for-profit accounting software vendor Blackbaud reported a profit of $5.3 million for its second quarter ended June 30, rebounding from a loss of $246,000 a year earlier.

The report was Blackbaud's first as a public company. It also reported revenue of $35.5 million, up 19 percent from $29.8 million in last year's corresponding period.
