MBS Restates Year-Ago Figures

Microsoft has restated the revenue and operating losses for the September 2003 quarter reported for Microsoft Business Solutions, improving the year ago results.The change reflected the inclusion of results for the Small and Midmarket Solutions & Partner Group under MBS. The addition of the apparently profitable SMS&P cut last year's MBS operating loss from $79 million to $54 million and raised the quarter's revenue from $128 million to $147 million. MBS reported an operating loss of $41 million and revenue of $160 million for the September 2004 quarter.
