QuickBooks 2007 QuickBooks 2007 can customize forms, which can be previewed on screen without printing them first.

Improved sales tax management consolidates reports and payment options, while the Google Desktop lets users search for customer, vendor, and financial information from within QuickBooks. An Accountants Copy feature ensures version control so business owners can continue their daily transactions while accountants make changes. Businesses can post a free online listing even if they have no Web site. A QuickBooks Product Listing Service for retailers, manufacturers, and distributors lets others know which products they carry.

ProSystem fx Engagement

Version 4.5 of CCH's paperless engagement product now tracks workpaper completion dates to ensure compliance with 45- or 60-day requirements and custom-defined periods.

Data also can be imported from a source trial balance in one binder to a target trial balance in another. It supports dual-monitor use for PDF files, and features electronic permission keys that administrators can download from the CCH Web site directly into the Engagement Administrator module.

Syspro 6.0

Syspro 6.0, Issue 10 debuts Syspro Reporting Services, which offers interactive reporting with scheduling and archiving capabilities, and includes an embedded version of Crystal Reports XI.

Electronic Signatures generate a log for auditing purposes of who did what and when, and activates triggers for email notification of various transactions. The user interface is more customizable, allowing users to remove or define fields, and is version-independent.

AccountMate Software

An Upsell Management Module of Version 7 for the SQL and Express product lines can associate inventory items with complementary or accessory items, enabling sales people to automatically offer customers upsell items when they are placing an order.

The module includes price and inventory quantity for real-time order information, and a comment feature for scripts or special instructions to provide help during the sales process. Commissions can be tied to upsell items and flagged in the AccountMate accounting system.

Accpac ERP 5.4

Sage Accpac ERP 5.4 users can select batch or real-time transaction entry, while the application also offers faster invoice-processing features.

Users can enter an invoice with the tax amounts and apply a payment at the same time for immediate settlement. Warehouse and manufacturing operations can track goods in transit using logical, instead of physical inventory designations, and can set up multi-level bills for materials. Orders can be copied from one customer to another, and these businesses can drill down to each level of the order, shipment, and invoice process.

JobOrder 12.9

SmartScheduler, a scheduling tool for staff, equipment, and rooms in JobOrder 12.9, enables the user to see individual schedules, free time, and items to be scheduled in one dialog.

The latest version of JobOrder also includes TimeTravel, which moves scheduled time slips to the next day when assigned tasks have not been completed; a Key Performance Indicator Manager that offers a wide range of metrics; and the Prioritizer, for scheduling tasks in order of importance.

The workflow engine includes a dashboard to analyze scheduling and planning. JobOrder's Notification Rules help spot problems and trends in overlapping jobs.

Connected Accounting 5.2

Inventory Control customers can benefit from a converted module in Connected 5.2 that lets them drill down to invoices and reprint packing slips within the Sales Order window, Quick Post purchase orders, and assign tracking numbers.

The new version also contains additions to Core Accounting and Job Costing, including simplified activity ledgers, a CAD Cheque date field for CPA requirements, and support for Intel-based Macs.

Syspro CRM 5.0

Syspro CRM 5.0 now supports Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and offers improved email synchronization capabilities with Microsoft Outlook, along with added support for GroupWise.

Dashboards and lookups can now be customized at the global or local level, with the ability to easily sequence columns in descending or ascending order. There are new calendar displays that include drag-and-drop capabilities for removing or deleting appointments.

Morningstar Portfolio Accounting

The Advisor Workstation Office Portfolio Accounting System, which now has extensive import capabilities, can track portfolios and produce portfolio performance reports. The system also adds accounting functions.

There are 18 new customizable reports that include net worth statements, realized and unrealized gain/loss reports, and management fee reports. The product also offers an extensive choice of securities, transaction types, expense and fee transactions, and daily client-account importing capabilities.

HyperShare for Outlook

HyperShare for Outlook, built into HyperOffice, offers an alternative to Microsoft Exchange through the inclusion of communication and incorporation tools such as POP3, SMTP, Web mail, shared calendaring, and shared address books.

The system also provides document management capabilities and supports Outlook, Netscape, Thunderbird, Eudora, and other email clients without the need to purchase and install Exchange.

WMS for Business One

Radio Beacon's warehouse management software for SAP Business One 2005 Service Pack 01 supports customer returns and has an improved software development kit.

The system also has new localization tools for multilingual support, integration with TrueCommerce EDI, and improved Container Receiving to consolidate multiple purchase orders onto a single goods receipt document, along with integrated menu-building and XML reporting.

SBS 2003 R2

Small Business Server 2003 R2 supports automated patch and update services for all Microsoft Update support products in the network, along with providing for software health through "Green Check."

Direct-push technology provides near real-time access to information in Outlook through Windows Mobile-based devices, along with offering password- policy management and remote device wipe to increase the protection of data. The mailbox limit is now 75GB, up from 16GB.

The FAS Compliance Advisor produces 16 of the most commonly requested auditing reports on system security, data access, system set-up, and asset audit trails.

WebPay, an online payroll system, can calculate the value of fringe benefits, as well as gross-to-net and net-to-gross payroll calculations.

The QuickPay feature allows administrators to view employee records on a single screen and to make only those edits needed. The system also features an adjustment calculator that can calculate adjustments if percentage change or increased dollar amounts are entered. Changes can be scheduled to be effective at a later date. WebPay also includes employee self-service.

Epicor CRS Retail Integration

Epicor Software addresses specialty retail customers' needs with Epicor CRS Retail Integration as part of the Epicor Enterprise Financials Suite and Epicor CRS Merchandising Suite. It lets them share information across the merchandising and financial modules.

The integration was accomplished through Service Connect, a Web Services-based business integration platform that offers customers increased flexibility for extending and implementing the application. Customers still can elect to purchase the financials and merchandising tools separately, however.
