TECTURA ENTERS INDIA Reselling giant Tectura resumed its global growth with plans to acquire Euroinfo Systems, a New Delhi-based company that will give Tectura development services for Dynamics AX and NAV and global offshoring capabilities.

The company also resells the two Microsoft financial lines and Dynamics CRM in India. Tectura did not disclose the purchase price or Euroinfo's revenue. However, CEO Terry Petrzelka said that with the addition of 180 employees, his organization will be India's largest Microsoft VAR and will use the development and support resources to reduce costs globally.

RSM McGladrey has named Tom Dobosenski to lead its national business consulting practice, replacing Randy Siemsen, who had held the position for the last four years.

Dobosenski, who will serve as EVP of consulting, will be responsible for managing service lines that include risk management, strategy, human resources, and information technology consulting. Based in Bloomington, Minn., he joined McGladrey 16 years ago. For the last two years, he has headed the firm's business consulting practice in Rochester, Minn.


Blytheco, a Sage Software reseller based in Laguna Hills, Calif., was named Business Partner of the Year for Mid-Market Accounting Solutions, as the vendor listed honorees in a number of segments.

It was the ninth straight time that Blytheco has been No. 1. Also repeating was New York's Infinity Info Systems for Customer Relationship Management. NFP Consultants of St. Louis was No. 1 for Non-Profit Solutions, Galaxy Technologies of Madison, Wis., for Specialized Business Solutions, Alliance Solutions Group of Tampa, Fla., for Construction and Real Estate Solutions, and Compu Financial Systems of Coral Gables, Fla., for Sage's Small Business Division.


St. Paul, Minn.-based Integrated Business Technologies was named Partner of the Year for the Epicor Enterprise line.

Founded in 1993, IBT began offering Epicor's line earlier this year. IBT also sells products of Progress Software, which run on the Unix and Linux operating systems, and for CorVu, which makes business intelligence reporting software.


SAP hired Steve Thompson, formerly president of Red Wing Software, as channel development manager for its Business One operations.

Thompson is responsible for cultivating new resellers and was briefly involved with the channel program at Accpac International, prior to its purchase by Sage Software.


Syspro USA has cut more than 30 members of its value-added reselling program, but plans to rebuild the number.

The cuts brought the total down to a 90-member group, says Joey Benadretti, president of Syspro USA, who wants to add to the number of VARs. Benadretti says that the company cut dealers that it believed were not committed to its products.


The Information Technology Group, a Simi Valley, Calif.-based Sage Software reseller, has changed its name to Arxis Technology, following the name of its parent's CPA firm.

The accounting firm, formerly Hamilton, Boynton & Associates, changed its name to Arxis Financial during the summer. Arxis Technology also announced that it had acquired Xcelerate, a Chicago-based Accpac reseller. Jan Goodman, an Xcelerate founder and principal, is relocating to Scottsdale, Ariz., to build the Phoenix practice.


Matrix Integrated Solutions, a Sage Software reseller based in Peninsula, Ohio, has named Brent A. Harvey as a partner.

Harvey joined Matrix from the Ohio Wholesale Company, where he was an information systems manager. He was previously a senior manager for another reseller. His expertise includes programming and consulting in manufacturing, distribution, warehouse management, and medical systems.
