The new Small Business Edition of Microsoft Dynamics CRM sports wizard-driven configuration integrates with features in Microsoft Small Business Server, such as fax management and integrated server management.
The edition is part of Version 3.0 of Dynamics CRM, which offers new configuration, customization, and integration capabilities. Users can utilize an Outlook client or access the system through a browser-based client or mobile device. Version 3.0 also offers event-driven workflow capabilities.

FILE NOTES ORGANIZER
File Notes Organizer 3.5 organizes customer and project files and records on network desktops that operate under Windows via a Windows Explorer-like interface.
The software sorts and filters all columns, while its customer service and document manager has a built-in viewer and basic information management capability. Information is immediately available on-screen after typing in part of a name, address, or phone number into the filter. The quick viewer supports more than 200 file formats so that each record can be viewed, annotated, and indexed.

Version 2.0 of CCH@Hand, which can now be launched from the desktop console, has tabs for search, index, citations, tracker news, and research folders.
Users can access a document's full text without opening a browser or signing on. In addition, the Web and documents can be searched from a user's desktop via Google. A single search can produce related documents from the CCH Tax Research Network, the user's research memos, email, and Web sites. Microsoft Office 2003 users can launch a search from within a document, view results, and insert them into their Office programs before saving or emailing them to clients.

QUICKBOOKS ONLINE PAYROLL
Intuit's QuickBooks Online Payroll includes email reminders for critical payday events and tax filing deadlines, calculating exact amounts due for payroll taxes and other liabilities.
The system, which integrates with the QuickBooks Online edition, calculates compensation, deductions, and withholdings, and can print paychecks and pay stubs in the user's office. Updated tax tables are provided automatically. Eighteen customizable reports are also available. There is also an optional Web-based time-tracking feature.

CASEWARE TIME 2005
The new layout in CaseWare Time 2005 guides timekeepers through tasks, while an Office XP look-and-feel has been added to Time's drop-down menus, toolbars, and icons.
The appearance of documents can be edited within the Document Manager, enabling users to reorder columns, and hide rows and columns. Account Reconciliation now allows the editing of transactions prior to the current period.
The Time and Expense Journal lists all entries by client and provides a summary of the total time or expense for each client. Its Report Editing feature has been enhanced to allow editing of documents opened from the document manager.

MICROSOFT DYNAMICS SL 6.5
Dynamics SL 6.5 (formerly called Solomon) can now be deployed in an extranet environment provided by expanded out-of-the-box SharePoint Services capabilities.
Other added features include a new Purchase Requisitions module that offers a flexible request, bidding, and approval system. There is also a new Bank Reconciliation module. More than 100 enhancements are tailored for distributors, service, and consulting firms that handle jobs on a project basis.

CREATIVE SOLUTIONS' TOOLBOX CS
ToolBox CS incorporates financial and tax calculators, document templates, and flowcharts that can help accountants identify clients who qualify for certain tax credits.
The application was designed to package together utilities that did not fit within other Creative Solutions applications. ToolBox CS also provides tax preparers with access to various supplemental tax forms, including W-10s and I-9s for printing at their convenience.

PayCycle 2006 features a firm-branded Web site that permits accounting professionals to offer client payroll under their name. It sends automated client email reminders for paydays and tax deadlines that are customized with the accounting firm's name.
Accountants or their clients, can pay and file taxes electronically. PayCycle sends email reminders when it is time to pay employees, pay taxes, and file forms. Paychecks, which are automatically calculated, can be printed directly from the user's computer on blank or pre-printed voucher check stock. Employee Web sites allow client employees to retrieve their pay stubs.

ACT PREMIUM FOR WEB 2006
Act Premium for Web 2006 user permissions can be set for each employee to provide the ability to access, add, delete, and export data to the centralized server.
The latest edition also includes customizable opportunity fields, en masse contact access settings, and scheduled automatic database back-up. The online system's central administration eliminates the need for end-user client installation, configuration, and set-up, while layouts and reports can be created once and accessed by all.

Sage Software's FAS Track, Project, and Complete Packs assemble a variety of modules for FAS products, including fixed asset management, tracking, depreciation, reporting, and construction-in-progress accounting.

Timesheet Reporting, part of the Web-based ThinMind Suite, now tracks time balances for vacation, sick, paid time off, training, or other categories, with administrators able to set-up time allocations for each employee.
Administrators can also enter holiday schedules that are automatically posted to each time card. Project updates are also automatically collected. This feature requires the use of the Project Management application. When used with Issue Tracking, Timesheet Reporting collects issue updates from employees.

Crystal Xcelsius turns Excel spreadsheets into graphical tools via a point-and-click interface that allows data and formulas to be imported and output as a variety of graphical elements.
