HYPEROFFICE HyperOffice now offers portal customization to give users the ability to display relevant information via both intranet and extranet views.

The system provides links to attached documents, tasks, to-do lists, and contacts. Users can select features to be displayed and may build as many intranet and extranet portals as they need. With IMAP support, HyperOffice also now works in any browser and users can send and receive email through any email client.

Everest Advanced v. 3.0.1 establishes multiple restocking thresholds through which minimum, maximum, and re-order replenishment points can be defined for each Everest location.

The Inventory Management module can now also assign vendor part numbers in purchase orders. E-commerce functions have improved full-text searching including automated advanced searches that use common operators for Web-store navigation. There is also a configurable display of stock information.

Lanier Soxdox, a Web-based document manager, automatically manages, tracks, and stores documents to help users comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.

Auditors can scan critical documents using a multifunction product and transmit files to a password-protected Web-hosted depository where modifications can be made and revisions saved. However, the original documents won't be altered and still reviewed from a Web-connected PC.

AF Query in AccuFund version 3.03 gives executives a view-only tool for direct user access to accounting data.

The add-on module, for the AccuFund Accounting Suite can restrict users to particular modules with either reporting or data-viewing options.

Also, the Accounts Payable module in this version has expanded drill-down capabilities that display details of paid invoices, account distribution, and purchase orders paid. The capability had previously been released for the Accounts Receivable and Cash Receipts modules. This function can locate data that has been enhanced in the data-browse screens of all modules.

Spring CM Version 3.0, a Web-based integrated content management package, has enhanced collaboration capabilities and dynamic routing of files and documents.

A check-out function apprises users of the most current versions of documents. Security levels can be set so that content can be viewed and edited only by appropriate users. Dynamic content routing can automatically notify the next person who should work on the document. Multi-account memberships mean that users need only to sign in once to access multiple accounts or create new accounts.

The Principia Variable Annuities Advanced module includes more than 80 new data points and specialized reports for more than 1,100 variable annuity policies.

Microsoft Dynamics Snap, a series of snap-in programs, are designed to let users process information from Dynamics applications, while they perform such tasks s creating documents without leaving Microsoft Office.

The first group of programs, which "snap in" to Office, include Timesheet Management Snap-In, Vacation Management Snap-In, and two versions of Business Data Lookup Snap-In; one for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 and the other for Microsoft Dynamics AX 3.0. Office 2003 users can utilize Outlook to enter and retrieve data managed by Dynamics programs to create documents, collaborate, and manage their calendars. The Web-based Sage TimeSheet-Payroll Services Edition integrates employee time tracking with the Sage payroll service.

The Time Clock feature allows companies with multiple locations and remote employees to enter time data in a central location. The data can then be transferred by an administrator for processing. Job Scheduler can transfer data from the employee timesheets into Sage Payroll Services. The application can apply established earnings codes to employee time data, which is then automatically mapped to the payroll service.

The Data Browser in the latest edition of Alere Version 4.2 can jump to the start or end of the fiscal year. The updated browser lets users search on any column in the browser by right clicking on the title.

The browser also directly accesses all related information for an item no matter where the information resides within the application. Additionally, a calendar has been written in the application replacing the native Windows calendar and is offered in all six modules: Manager, Inventory, General Ledger, Sales, Payables, and Configurator.

Insurance Insight permits financial professionals to offer clients what-if scenarios based on policy contributions.

The software tool creates hypothetical performance reports to aid advisors in creating a portfolio for their clients based on their risk tolerance. It uses a Monte Carlo engine to formulate the reports. Insurance Insight can produce realistic reports based on specific client data and provides options on policy funding based on the client's risk tolerance.

Intuit's QuickBooks Easy Estimate generates estimates from data gathered during job-site visits and can turn estimates into invoices.

The software merges information into one of several industry-specific templates and Microsoft Word for easy formatting and printing. The program also allows users to export estimates in order to generate invoices and track payments using QuickBooks. Estimates and invoices can be customized to include the contractor's logo and contact information.

Kintera FundWare Fixed Assets produces preliminary depreciation calculation reports prior to posting for verification purposes and automatically calculates depreciation from the date of last depreciation recoded.

It will then record depreciation calculation by posting date. The new module also purges disposed assets on demand, according to the disposal date, and tracks historical transactions for each asset. The system can also adjust replacement value for a group of assets, instead of modifying each record.
