ACCUFUND VERSION 3.04 AccuFund Accounting Suite Version 3.04 has expanded reporting capabilities through the addition of a columnar report writer that enables users to get results without having to link tables together.

Users select the fields, sort, and subtotal options, and generate the reports. Completed reports can then be printed to a PDF or exported to Excel or other file formats. The enhanced standard report writer now features the ability to sort and subtotal lists of fields, including variable and temporary fields, and to organize field selectors by table.

DYNAMICS AX 4.0

Dynamics AX 4.0 incorporates radio frequency identification that is built on BizTalk RFID, which is designed to connect real-time RFID events to supply-chain processes and financial applications.

Version 4.0 also utilizes Web Services to create RSS feeds, while roles-based features limit employee access to information that is relevant to their jobs. Because it is built on SharePoint Services, Dynamics AX can create a single view across transactions, analysis, workflows, and documents. There is also an adapter for BizTalk Server 2006 that enables users to access data in applications from Oracle and SAP.

QUICKBOOKS EASY ESTIMATE

QuickBooks Easy Estimate organizes information such as customer contact information, job-site notes, itemized estimates, and final proposals.

Customer, job, and estimate details can be incorporated in Office Word documents, meaning that proposals can be re-used. Easy Estimate also provides out-of-the box proposals. The system integrates with QuickBooks, enabling contractors to import customer data and to export estimates to QuickBooks in order to create invoices and track payments.

DOCUSIGN IN SESSION

With DocuSign In Session, a Web-based electronic signature service, customers can visit a Web site, create a form, and sign an application in a single visit.

Typical uses for in-session electronic signatures include consumer loan and credit-card applications, insurance applications and claims, mortgage transaction processing, debt consolidation, and account opening. The application ensures proper security, user authenticity, and document non-repudiation. DocuSign integrates into the user's existing Web portal and into existing applications, since it is offered as an XML/SOAP Web service.

MAS 500 WAREHOUSE AUTOMATION

The Warehouse Automation Module, which has been added to MAS 500 ERP, supports hand-held barcode scanners and radio frequency communication with the core MAS 500 accounting system.

If a connection is lost, users can work offline, and information captured by the handheld device can be updated later. The module automates routine tasks, including receipt of goods, warehouse transfers, bin transfers, sales returns, and picking, packing, and shipping. A Barcode LabelXpert designer, which can create labels, is available separately and works with both laser and thermal printers.

Abra HRMS v. 8.1 integrates with Sage Payroll Services for companies in the United States, and offers an optional link to the ADP Canadian payroll service.

Version 8.1, which links to the newly released Abra eRecruiter, supports the SQL Server and MSDE databases. Enhancements have been made to job description information, while there is more flexibility in defining employee seniority for attendance purposes, and there are additional options for tracking vacation time and step increases for union workers and employees of universities and municipalities.

GOFILEROOM TAXSORT

TaxSort, an add-on module for the Web-based GoFileRoom document management application, automates the identification of scanned tax documents.

TaxSort produces and organizes bookmarked PDFs that identify each document type, such as W-2s or K1s, and places them in the correct order. TaxSort, when combined with GoFileRoom's ScanFlow application, can automatically produce bookmarked PDFs using barcoded sheets. As the engine behind TaxSort, GoFileRoom learns how firms work and how to identify different documents.
