SAGE NAMES TOP RESELLERS Sage Software has named five top resellers for the year ended Sept. 30, with the listed dominated by some well-known names in the reselling channel.

Steve Blythe's Blytheco, which carries the MAS 90/200/500 line, was a repeat winner as was CRM specialist Infinity Info Systems of New York. The other winners were the Whippany, N.J.-based Accordant Co., which handles MasterBuilder and Timberline; Miami-based, Alliance Solutions Group, which sells MasterBuilder, Timberline and SageCRM; and the company's largest reseller, the Dallas-based-MIS Group, whose companies handle all of Sage's lines.
VMWARE HONORS VITALE
The technology consulting group at Boston accounting firms Vitale, Caturano & Co., has been named to the VIP enterprise level of sales for VMware's virtual infrastructure software.
Vitale said it is using VMware to reduce power consumption, improve server manageability and prepare for disaster recovery.
SUNRISE ENTERS CHINA
Sunrise Technologies, which sells the Dynamics AX line, has moved into China with the opening of a joint venture company, Huamei Soft, in Xi'an, China.
Sunrise, which is headquartered in Winston-Salem, N.C., says Huamei will focus on software development. President John Pence said the Chinese company will be a critical partner as it ramps up operations of Sunrise China this year. Sunrise also has offices in Dallas and Los Angeles.
TECHNOLOGY IN A BOX FORMED
Three organizations, including QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Accounting Resource, have formed Technology in a Box, whose goal is to provide a range of services to small and midsize businesses and franchises.
Accounting Resource, based in Farmington Hills, Mich., was joined by McElroy & Associates, also based in Michigan, and ABA Consulting, which is located in Wisconsin. The new officers are CEO Andrew Abrams, who was president of ABA, president and CFO Lisa McCarthy and COO Christine Galli, both from Accounting Resource. Richard McElroy is chief technology officer.
SAGE OFFERS ACCOUNTANT TOOLS
Sage Software is offering secure file transfer to members of its Accountants' Network that will enable them to send files of up to 1GB to clients.
Available through a partnership with LeapFile, the system is called Sage AssureSend, and offers the free service to members of the network. Members can also receive discounts when using GoToMyPC for remote access and can get free recruitment postings on Monster.com.
EPICOR CITES TWO VARS
Manufacturing Solutions Group of Alpharetta, Ga., was named Epicor Software's Partner of the Year for the United States at a recent conference.
MSG was also honored for having the Most New Customers in this country. Meanwhile, Exton, Pa.-based Alogic received the U.S. Greenhorn award for having the top revenue among new partners and it also was given the New Partner of the Year Award in the United States. MSG and Alogic both handle the Vantage and Vista manufacturing lines, while MSG also sells the Clientele CRM system.
SKYYTEK TAKES NETSUITE AWARD
Skyytek, the largest reseller in the NetSuite channel, has been named Partner of the Year by the San Mateo, Calif.-based company that markets Internet applications.
In May, Skyytek absorbed Ncompass Business Solutions, which had an office in Georgia and another in North Carolina, as Skyytek US Southeast. In June, it received the NetSuite 5-Star Reseller Award for having more than $1 million in net new license revenue for the third year in a row. NetSuite also named Houston-based Scope Group "Top Newcomer Solution Provider," while Enabled Success of Ottawa was picked as "Breakthrough Solution Provider," for year-to-year revenue growth.
