MAS 500 EPAYMENT Users of Sage Software’s MAS 500 application can use the ePayment services module to utilize card processing services, including merchant account origination directly from Sage.

The Payment services module automatically connects to users’ Merchant Accounts provided by Sage Payment Solutions for credit card authorizations and settlements and offers integration with Sales Order and Accounts Receivable modules. Stored credit card numbers are encrypted within Sage MAS 500, while Credit Verification Value (CVV & CVV2) is supported.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 can be deployed as an on-premise solution, as a Web-based solution or as a mix of on-premise software and on-demand services.

Version 4.0 contains AutoComplete, which recognizes entries as they are typed. It also features faster searching, support for bulk execution and closure of campaigns and improved mail merge. Users can customize the navigation pane. The software also provides dynamic data connections with Excel so that users import Dynamics CRM data into Office Excel and refresh it from live CRM data. The product’s multi-tenant architecture also means that organizations can have multiple distinct instances of Dynamics CRM on a single server.

QReportBuilder, a reporting engine designed for QuickBooks, generates live data from the Intuit accounting program.

There are more than 120 reports, such as custom commissions, sales and profitability analysis by region, product and sales person and year-by-year comparisons of key business metrics. The software utilizes Excel-style reports for totals, subtotals and groups for customizing reports.

The Figtree Sales Analysis Module supports management decision making for users of AccountMate 7.3, including both the SQL Server and LAN versions, generating reports to formats such as Word, Excel and email.

Information can be analyzed with the ability to compare and rate sales reports by many combinations of customer, salesperson and product line and date. The module installs and runs as a standard AccountMate report.

Version 5.2 of eMoney Advisor 360 Pro suite incorporates five stand-alone Needs Analysis Modules.

The five new modules include Annuity Income Analysis, which examines guaranteed annuity income for covering expenses during retirement. In addition, Version 5.2 features improved aggregation, year-end savings and account transfer capabilities as well as an enhanced planning center.

Checkout 2.0 Point of Sale for Mac introduces credit card processing, multi-user capability and integration with MYOB’s AccountEdge and Intuit’s QuickBooks Pro for Mac.

Credit card processing, currently available with MYOB Merchant Account, takes place directly from Checkout 2.0. Store Sharing gives users options to share their store, using Checkout with multiple cash registers in the storefront, managing their store and inventory from their offices.

GoldMine Mobile Edition V. 3.0 manages customer contacts, sales activities and opportunities on BlackBerry smartphones.

QXpress 8.0, a scheduling application for the QuickBooks environment, offers QuickBooks 2008 compatibility, along with changes-only sync, which enables users to request the latest changes from QuickBooks, instead of needing to refresh the entire database.

The package also checks each scheduled service to see if it conflicts with other appointments, and color-codes appointments in the Day View and Week View. The system can also specify equipment for servicing when scheduling a new service.

CCH’s Tax Zone Locator now offers a batch processing option that can enable subscribers with large numbers of addresses to upload an Excel file, rather than typing in individual addresses.

The service helps identify eligible businesses and employee addresses for completion of current and retroactive tax credit projects. Xcelsius 2008, a data presentation and dashboard tool, creates dashboards for departments such as sales, marketing and finance. New features include a Tab Set Container, a pre-built component that can build multi-tab dashboard without the user’s needing to write code.

There is also a Trend Analyzer that can discover trends and patterns in data by automatically inserting statistical calculations into the Xcelsius visualization at load time. The software also offers interactive maps of countries throughout the world.
