VITALE ADDS TO BI UNIT Boston-based CPA firm Vitale Caturano has added three members to its business intelligence consulting practice.

The firm has hired Marc Andersen and Craig Sussman as managers and Nicholas Bisciotti as a senior consultant. Anderson specializes in using Microsoft products in improving business performance, and has held positions at Bain and Co., KPMG and Renaissance Worldwide. Sussman, who works with data warehousing and business intelligence, was previously a senior manager for EMD Serono. Bisciotti specializes in Microsoft’s SharePoint.
TECTURA DRAWS ON FUNDING
Tectura, the national Dynamics reseller based in Redwood City, Calif., has drawn on a previously announced round of venture capital funding.
Tectura CEO Terry Petrzelka confirmed that the company has drawn on that round, but the filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission do not provide details about the amount used or the source.
SBS Group Cited for Vertical Work
The SBS Group, a Dynamics SL reseller based in Woodbridge, N.J., has received the Microsoft 2008 Excellence in Vertical Solution award for its work in the audio/visual integrator industry.
The company was named as the Dynamics SL reseller of the year for 2007 and was No. 30 on the most recent VAR 100 list published by Accounting Technology with $10 million in revenue.
Yacov Wrocherinsky, CEO of Infinity Info Systems, has been named as the New York State Small Business Person of the Year for the U.S. Small Business Administration.
New York-based Infinity has been the top Sage Software reseller multiple times. During the spring, the firm received a National Sales Team of the Year "Stevie Award" in the second annual Selling Power Sales Excellence Awards.
CITP CHALLENGE WINNERS NAMED
California and Texas tied for adding the most new holders of the Certified Information Technology Professional credential while Hawaii showed the greatest percentage growth in the number of CPAs holding the AICPA certification.
California and Texas added 15 members each during the 2008 CITP challenge while the number of CPAs in Hawaii with the credential rose by 50 percent. One hundred twelve persons were added to the roster. The contest also has a bonus round competition being conducted from May 1 through July 31.
VERSION ONE SEEKS VARS
Version One, a document management and imaging vendor, is seeking Sage Software resellers in the United States as it enters the American market.
Its products integrate with Sage applications, enabling documents to be created, stored, retrieved, delivered and authorized directly from organizations’ Sage systems. Based in Poynton, Cheshire, the company markets a suite of document management products that also integrate with applications from SAP, Oracle, Coda, Infor, Agresso and OpenAccounts.
EPARTNERS SELLS APP
ePartners has sold its Public Housing Authority Management System application to MeWare, which provides management consultant services for the Federal Housing Administration and other government housing organizations.
The application manages finance and operations of housing authorities through modules that include Tenant Eligibility, Housing Application, Interview Schedule & Log, Workshop & Log, Leasing Unit, Section 8, Public Housing Programs. The system operates in conjunction with Dynamics GP. ePartners will support the GP component and will continue to provide end-user support, additional modules and maintenance plans.
DELTEK HONORS SILVEREDGE
SilverEdge has received the Partner Award for its implementation of Deltek’s Vision suite at the Burke Group, a consortium of companies that provide engineering services.
Based in Schaumburg, Ill., SilverEdge was a reseller of the Wind2 product line before that company was acquired by Deltek.
TRIBRIDGE NAMES DIRECTOR
Tribridge, a Dynamics reseller based in Florida, has named Scott Caudle as director of its Dynamics AX and NAV practices.
A Texas CPA, Caudle has more than 15 years of experience in ERP and CRM consulting. Before joining Tribridge, he was managing director of the AX practice for another Dynamics reseller.
