The Rapid Configuration Tool shortens deployment time for Microsoft Dynamics GP. Designed to quickly configure core application setup data to meet industry or company-specific needs, the tool uses one of 13 templates created in Excel 2007.
The Rapid Migration Tool converts QuickBooks data to Dynamics GP. Prior to migrating the data, users can modify master records in Excel in order to change inventory item IDs or remove customer records.

Monarch BI Server, designed for SMB and departmental users, provides information via the Web in common formats such as Excel.

INTUIT ONLINE PAYROLL
Intuit Online Payroll enables small business users to enter employees’ hours and the software automatically calculates earnings, taxes and deductions.
They can print paychecks or use free direct deposit. Intuit sends reminders to ensure payroll taxes are paid on time and not subject to fees. The service automatically fills in the latest federal and many state tax forms which users print, sign and mail or can e-pay at no additional cost. It integrates with QuickBooks Pro, Premiere and Enterprise Solutions.

REDTAIL, ACCOUNTMATE INTEGRATION
Figtree Consulting has designed an interface to RedTail’s electronic data interchange and global data synchronization tools for customers of AccountMate 7.4.
This interface moves EDI purchase orders to AccountMate sales orders. Once items are shipped, the information is passed back to RedTail to generate and transmit an EDI invoice to the trading partner. Enhancements in version 7.4 including an executive summary dashboard, which provides an overview of the company’s most up-to-date financial information and enhanced compatibility with Microsoft Windows Vista.

CCH Knowledge-Based Single Audits
CCH has introduced a module called Knowledge-Based Single Audits to the Knowledge Tools library for CCH ProSystem fx Engagement and the Accounting Research Manager.
The module helps auditors perform financial statement audits of state and local governments and nonprofit corporations that receive federal government grants or contracts in accordance with GAAS and other standards. It provides more than 175 risk assessment forms and practice aids in the Knowledge-Based Audits methodology. The aids can be customized to the specific circumstances of the entity being audited or the engagement’s specific nature.

PAYCYCLE WORKERS’ COMPENSATION
PayCycle has partnered with The Hartford Financial Services Group to offer pay-as-you-go workers’ compensation integrated into PayCycle’s online payroll.
With XactPAY, businesses automatically pay their workers’ comp insurance premiums one payroll at a time as opposed to making large upfront down-payments and reconciling later. The Hartford calculates the premium amount for that payroll period and withdraws the funds directly from the company’s bank account.

Timesheet Online gives knowledge workers the ability to track their time and understand project status from anywhere with an Internet connection.
Because it’s a software-as-a-service product, customers do not need their own host machine. The Journyx central data center provides the computing resources to run every customer’s installation of Timesheet Online. The server runs on Windows 2000/2003/XP, AIX, Solaris, Linux and FreeBSD.

NAVIPLAN, PROFILES UPGRADES
Emerging Information Systems, which develops NaviPlan and Profiles financial planning software, upgraded both product suites.
Profiles Professional v 9.0 offers retirement scenario features for exploring ways to achieve a client’s retirement accumulation and distribution goals. Advisors can run what-if scenarios on retirement needs, portfolio allocations, plan contributions and other strategies and compare the results with the current plan. Progress reporting capabilities in NaviPlan Standard v. 11.2 facilitate quick updates with reports that illustrate whether a client is on track to meet their financial goals.

NetSuite’s flagship CRM product includes features to enhance ease of use with advanced workflows that are now also supported in Firefox 3.

HOSTED SAGE ABRA HRMS
Sage Software partnered with nGenX to provide hosting for Sage Abra, Sage’s human resource management system, in a virtual server environment with full-service IT support for customers who access the software remotely over the Web.
Sage Abra HRMS comprises HR, payroll, benefits training, recruiting and compliance software tools and integrates with MAS 90/200/500, Sage MIP Fund Accounting, Accpac and Timberline Office as well as third-party solutions.

PAYCHEX 401 (K)
Paychex customers can automatically enrolling in 401(k) plans. Employers have the choice to automatically enroll all eligible employees or only those who become newly eligible for the plan once it is put into effect.
Once implemented, employees are enrolled 30 days after the eligibility date, allowing them to opt out before payroll deductions are made. They have an additional 90-day opt-out period and can request distribution of any deductions without penalty fees.

MultiTax, a professional tax preparation package designed for Latino and other immigrant taxpayers, offers the ability to prepare and manage multiple tax years simultaneously.
Because many immigrants have not filed taxes or may be years behind in filing their taxes, the package has features including the ability to take basic taxpayer and dependent information and use it in multiple years.
The package is not designed to replace a preparer’s current tax software and does not prepare and efile current year tax returns.

ATTACH PLUS GROUP POLICY MANAGEMENT
Attach Plus, an add-on for email applications to send password-protected and encrypted attachments, now contains a Group Policy feature that makes it easier for IT departments to restrict or require different employee groups or workstations to use specific Attach Plus features.
Depending on job function, some employees have explicit needs to fill certain encryption requirements and this Group Policy feature eliminates the task of applying settings to each user.
