CASEWARE IDEA VERSION EIGHT

CaseWare IDEA Version Eight was developed to improve the quality of data analysis work.

It includes a Project Overview feature that presents a graphical representation of the entire audit or investigation process, which can be shared with management or used to meet documentation requirements. Users can independently review the workflows and utilize drill-down capabilities for additional history. Importing documents is easier with a drag-and-drop import feature in Import Assistant, along with faster PDF import. Visual Scripts require no programming and allow customers to re-run standard analysis processes and build continuous monitoring applications.

KOFAX E-TRANSACTIONS

Kofax e-Transactions adds electronic invoice processing capabilities to Kofax's Intelligent Capture and Exchange tools.

The software captures and encrypts print files or imported data in standard text, image and XML file formats, then collects and delivers the electronic information to Kofax Transformation Modules for classification and data extraction. It uses software technology obtained by the company this year when it acquired OptiInvoice, a Scandanavian company.

CLIENTVISION FOR FINANCIAL ADVISORS

AdviceAmerica released ClientVision, a Web-based client management system aimed at financial advisors who use Outlook as their primary tool for client relations.

ClientVision is tightly integrated with Outlook contacts, emails, calendars and tasks as well as financial planning and portfolio management tools, including AdviceAmerica's AdvisorVision. It contains the ability to collect account data from sources including Albridge, Pershing, TD Ameritrade and DST. A document vault is available where advisors can upload plans, wills, insurance policies or estate documents. They also can record and log history of communications and recommendations.

ACOM SOLUTIONS DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT

ACOM Solutions introduced a document capture tool that automatically processes scanned documents and indexes and stores them in EZContentManager or other document management systems.

EZCapture works with any scanner and performs template forms matching so unrelated documents can be scanned simultaneously. ODBC functionality provides for user-defined indexing fields and links with front-end databases for validation. It converts images to PDFs after updating metadata with indexing data.

CLUSTERSEVEN SPREADSHEET MANAGEMENT

ClusterSeven's flagship Enterprise Spreadsheet Management system now is available as a Software-as-a-Service model.

The ClusterSeven SaaS product offers options to monitor Microsoft Excel spreadsheets held within the company firewall or on third-party Web-based locations like SharePoint or Google spreadsheets. It is hosted on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), a simple Web service interface.

SYWARE DATABASE DEVELOPMENT TOOLS

Syware has extended its database development software, Visual CE and mEnable, to allow synchronization and direct access to a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet from any Windows Mobile handheld device.

mEnable allows for wireless data exchange, file and folder synchronization and centralized management over any TCP/IP network, including the Internet. Visual CE lets users build their own databases and create custom forms. Applications draw from a set of common controls including labels and check boxes. Font control, device-based printing, timestamps and simple calculations are also supported.

LYZASOFT ANALTYICS

Anaytics software provider Lyzasoft introduced a low-cost version of its desktop product, Lyza Lite.

It includes data connections to Microsoft Excel workbooks, Microsoft Access databases and text/flat files, as well as advanced analytics. It is a full function release of Lyza, other than not connecting to enterprise databases like Oracle, SQLServer, MySQL and Sybase. It is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.

KLIX ONLINE ACCOUNTING

Klix Online offers an accounting system, Web store and point of sale package for businesses with up to 100 users.

Using an intuitive, graphical interface and activity flow diagram, including pre-defined and customizable charts of accounts, businesses can set up the complete system in as little as 45 minutes. Web-based retail stores include backend accounting support and Paypal payment capabilities. POS devices enable companies to centralize their transactions from multiple terminals spread over separate geographical locations. Integration with the Microsoft Office suite lets users create forms using Word and import data from other applications into Excel.

SAGE ABRA HRMS 8.5

Employee self-service functionality has been added to the latest version of Sage Abra SQL HRMS to view and access more payroll data online.

The Sage Abra ESS module now lets employees view their pay history and drill down to the details on specific paychecks. The human resource management system software delivers tightly integrated functionality across HR, payroll, benefits, training and attendance with reporting and analysis capabilities as well as applicant tracking.

ADAPTIVE PLANNING 5.5

Adaptive Planning's budgeting and forecasting software now includes collaboration features and broadens accessibility to additional users.

Notes can be added in individual cells on sheets. They are searchable and can be automatically included as footnotes in reports. The Audit Trail feature lets users track, view and search the history of changes for every cell in the plan. Data import and export capabilities have been expanded. Adaptive Planning Connectors automate data import from general ledgers, databases and files. The application now contains a local-language interface and supports the Firefox browser on Windows and Red Hat Linux.

REDTAIL EDI SERVICES

RedTail Solutions has added enhanced EDI Transaction Reporting to its electronic data interchange managed services.

This capability, accessible via the Web on a daily or weekly basis, provides manufacturers, suppliers and distributors with in-depth reports that allow customers to confirm all EDI transactions have been exchanged properly. Data can be sorted by date, EDI transaction type or trading partner. Customers also can provide verification that outbound invoices or Advanced Ship Notices were received and acknowledged.

QUOTEWERKS, SAGE MAS INTEGRATION

Aspire Technologies' link, called ConnectIT-MAS 90, integrates Sage's MAS 90 and MAS 200 applications with Aspire's sales quoting software.

It can be launched from the Tools menu in QuoteWerks and can automatically create new customers in MAS without leaving QuoteWerks. Bi-directional transfer of reference numbers is included in document templates for audit purposes.

NETCLIENT CS

The latest release of NetClient CS adds Reuters news widgets, as well as enhanced functionality, including the ability to share data in real time, push invoices to clients and collect credit card payments electronically and upload multiple files at once.

Accountants can use Reuters news widgets to provide automatic news updates to clients from Reuters.com. There is also a new online bill pay, along with the ability to upload multiple files simultaneously.
