Study highlights trends in individuals pursuing business degrees

Forty-two percent of those between the ages of 30 and 44 are looking for career growth and change, according to a study analyzing degree search behavior sponsored by EducationDynamics, a company that works with higher learning institutions to help find, enroll and retain students.

According to the study, people searching for graduate and undergraduate degrees via the Internet are primarily interested in bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration and accounting.

The other three areas that generate interest are management, human resources and finance.

The survey also said that 31 percent of people searching for degree programs are doing so to change careers, while 22 percent are searching for degrees to advance within their current job.
