Philadelphia-area accounting firm Alloy, Silverstein, Shapiro, Adams, Mulford, Cicalese, Wilson & Co. recently hosted 29 aspiring accountants for its fourth annual Externship Day, which gives college students an inside look at the CPA profession.

January 12-13, the students had one-on-one time with managing shareholder Ren Cicalese and participated in a Q & A session with staff members that covered topics ranging from resume and interviewing tips to the CPA exam and tax season.

Attendees were mainly South Jersey residents from 14 local universities, including Rutgers University-Camden, Rowan University, Villanova University, Rider University and The College of New Jersey.
