Becker Professional Education has announced its second annual Newton D. Becker Scholarship Program awarding more than $200,000 in financial assistance to CPA candidates.

The scholarship program was created in honor of the organization’s founder, Newton D. Becker, who passed away in 2012, and will award 20 full, four-part CPA Exam Review scholarships valued at $3,360 each and additional $1,680 scholarships.

“We are pleased to offer students and professionals the opportunity to earn CPA Exam Review scholarships,” said John Roselli, president of Becker Professional Education, in a statement. “The scholarship program allows us to carry on Newton’s legacy by helping bright, dedicated individuals succeed in their pursuit of the gold standard in the profession, the CPA credential.”

Scholarship applications can be submitted through Feb. 5, 2014, and recipients will be notified on March 3. Qualified applicants must meet the requirements to sit for the CPA exam at the time of enrollment in Becker’s CPA Exam Review, demonstrate financial need and meet other requirements.

To apply for or get more information about the Newton D. Becker Scholarship Program visit www.Becker.com/scholarships or call 1-877-CPA-EXAM.
