More than 60 families attended the recent Children’s Holiday Party for members of ARC of Greater Plymouth, sponsored by Marshfield, Mass., CPA and business development advisory firm Damon, Topham & Company.

This marked the 12^th year the firm sponsored the event for ARC of Greater Plymouth, a private, nonprofit membership organization for people with mental retardation, related developmental disabilities and their families.

The children in attendance ate a holiday meal, were presented gifts from Santa and were entertained by the puppets, songs and dances of local storyteller Ryan Racette.

Borders book store in Kingston, Mass., donated books to the children.

“The ARC party is a safe environment for the children and a setting where they can be themselves,” said Jill O'Reilly, community support coordinator at ARC. “We heard parents comment on how this year's party was one of the best ones we've held.”

ARC serves Carver, Duxbury, Halifax, Hanover, Hanson, Kingston, Marshfield, Pembroke, Plympton and Plymouth, Mass.
