Roseland, N.J.-based professional services firm Rothstein Kass will partner with publisher and events host Garden State Woman to sponsor the 2011-12 Garden State Woman Education Foundation Scholarship Fund to support inner-city New Jersey girls that have been accepted to a four-year college in the state.

Of the program’s seven current scholars, six are at Rutgers and one attends William Paterson University.

“On behalf of our young women scholars, we are extremely grateful for this philanthropic support,” said Garden State Woman founder Judy Chapman in a statement. “These students are dedicated, hard-working and motivated. They are all vibrant young people who will make a difference. It is inspiring to realize that a firm such as Rothstein Kass appreciates the importance of giving back to our young people.”

Current and past recipients will be honored at the 7th annual Garden State Woman Annual Awards Luncheon at the Park Avenue Club in Florham Park, N.J., March 23, 2012. The benefit, which is sponsored by the Garden State Woman Education Foundation, also honors women recognized by their peers for their professional and personal activities benefiting other women.

Rothstein Kass principal Rosalie Mandel was previously honored as a Garden State Woman of the Year for founding the firm’s The Office of LIFE Program (Leadership, Inspiration, Family, Empowerment) that serves to foster leadership and mentoring opportunities.

“When we launched the LIFE Program, a firm-wide initiative focused on supporting gender-related training, career development, communication and work/life integration issues, we hoped that it would provide Rothstein Kass with more opportunities to make a difference in the lives of motivated and talented women,” said Steve Kass, Co-CEO of Rothstein Kass, in a statement. “We are proud of the impact that the program has made within our organization, and of our broader efforts to promote teamwork and facilitate work/life integration. Partnering with Garden State Woman on its Education Foundation Scholarship Fund gives us an opportunity share our success by supporting promising young women who will be the business leaders of the future.”

Garden State Woman publishes a quarterly magazine aimed at New Jersey’s corporate women and annual financial and health guides, in addition to hosting financial and health conferences and networking events.
