CalCPA connects with social networking platform

The California Society of CPAs recently launched a social networking platform that will enable members to form interest groups and gain greater access to resources.

Dubbed “Connect,” the platform will provide improved and easier access to CalCPA event registration and research and help members collaborate along segmentations like chapter affiliation, professional interests and member type.

"We believe Connect will result in more interaction among our members and will make CalCPA staff more responsive to member needs," said CalCPA CEO Loretta Doon in a statement.

Connect, which used the MemberFuse online community platform developed by Avectra, is currently open to CalCPA student, candidate and educator members, as well as CPAs licensed in the last five years, forensics service sections and selected state committees.
