CollegeFrog, an online community that connects accounting firms to students, will be hosting a virtual recruiting event Oct. 29-Nov. 2.

National Meet the Firms Week will connect hundreds of hiring accounting firms to job seekers submitting resumes online at no charge.

The event was created to increase the exposure students typically have to firms via traditional on-campus recruiting events. For this national event, students and firms can visit www.meetthefirmsweek.com to create a profile. When the event kicks off Oct. 29, firms will be given access to all student profiles in their state of operation.

“I’ve talked to a lot of managing partners at over 150 accounting firms,” said CollegeFrog CEO Jeff Phillips. “And one of the things I keep hearing is that they want to know who the best talent available is, period. At the nearby schools, but ‘what about students that grew up near my firm and went away to school? I can’t find those on campus.’”

Accounting Today is co-sponsoring the event along with Sage, the Association for Accounting Administration, iShade, Becker Professional Education and This Way to CPA.
