During the AICPA's inaugural Women’s Global Leadership Summit Oct. 17-18 in Boston, I asked keynote speaker Jan Hopkins, founder of the Jan Hopkins Group and former CNN Financial News anchor, for her thoughts on Mitt Romney's controversial "binders full of women" debate response the night before.

Hopkins explained why she thought the phrase, which inspired a Twitter hashtag and popular Facebook page, set off such an online firestorm. She also recounted a time, earlier in her career, when she was vetted not by binder, but a more...unconvential chart.

See her video response below.

CNN news anchor trying to make Romney look out of touch, nothing surprising there! I may be missing the point, but ... What is the problem with Romney seeking the resumes of qualified women? What is the problem with Romney seeking to promote more womens' equity in his Cabinet? Obviously, "binders full of women" produced stars and non stars. The stars were undoubtedly called for interviews. That fact makes Jan Hopkins opinion that somehow Romney hired by binder resume with, an impersonal "binder" contact seems absurd. Liberals the constantly search for anything to demean good people who disagree with them politically.
