FINANCIAL FORCE UNVEILS ACCOUNTING SUMMER '12

San Mateo, Calif. -- Cloud accounting and financial applications provider FinancialForce.com has released Accounting Summer '12, with several multicurrency enhancements, deeper customer relationship management and accounting collaboration, and a community site feature. For one, by embedding FinancialForce Accounting into the Salesforce Service Cloud, companies can automate the billing of support and service charges, empowering customer service reps to immediately bill and sell add-on products and services. Also, sales and service personnel can see a financial picture of the customer, including outstanding invoices, payments and credits on the account.

SAP PLANS CLOUD PRODUCT, ACCOUNTANT PARTNERSHIPS

New York -- After achieving some success with the release of SAP's cloud-based offerings, including SAP Business ByDesign and, more recently, Business One OnDemand, the business process software giant is planning the release of a cloud-based financial management product later this year with accounting firms as key partners in the effort. While finer details are not yet available on the product, it is expected to build on the ByDesign model and be driven by SAP's dedicated cloud unit.

NEW CERTIFY PRODUCT TURNS RECEIPTS INTO REPORTS

Portland, Maine -- Small-business-focused online travel and expense management software developer Certify has released ReceiptParse, a new tool for use with the company's Certify Mobile and Web-based applications designed to convert receipts into expense reports. Certify ReceiptParse can use photos of a receipt taken via Certify Mobile to automatically fill in expense fields. ReceiptParse also works with Certify's 11 methods of receipt capture and interprets receipt images as actionable expense data. In addition, global business travel spending habits, usage patterns and trending behaviors are analyzed with prediction algorithms to improve results.
