INTACCT LAUNCHES SPRING 2012

San Jose, Calif. -- Intacct has enhanced its cloud accounting software, the Intacct Financial Management System, with more than 100 new features. Enhancements in the latest release, Spring 2012, include an updated mobile interface for dashboards and approvals; streamlined business intelligence capabilities; data import, company setup, and end-user management enhancements; and greater flexibility in security controls to provide secure collaboration with critical data.

When users log in from a smartphone or tablet, Intacct will automatically detect the device and adapt the interface accordingly. It also now allows users to more efficiently assign roles, permissions and client access.

INTUIT INTRODUCES SNAP PAYROLL MOBILE APP

Mountain View, Calif. -- Intuit has made available Snap Payroll, a free mobile app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch that handles paycheck calculations for small businesses. The app is designed for employers that have simple payroll needs, and provides information on how much to write the paycheck for and how much to set aside for taxes. It also keeps a record of paychecks calculated for reference, automatically updates tax rate changes, and includes federal and state withholding forms. Employers don't need to be an existing Intuit Payroll customer to access Snap Payroll for free. The app is built on Apple's iOS operating system.

Snap Payroll is currently available on iTunes for a limited number of states, with more to come in the following months.

HOGAN JOINS XCM

Braintree, Mass. -- Kim Hogan has joined XCM Solutions LLC, a cloud-based workflow management software provider, as director of its West Coast operations. She joins XCM from Fujitsu, where she served as business development manager for three years. During her time at Fujitsu, Hogan helped position the company's product line of document imaging scanners, ScanSnap, as a market leader, and helped the company enhance its partnerships within the accounting industry.
