My 2013 New Year's resolutions were the typical promises to try new activities: rock climbing, parachuting, playing for a professional German basketball team.

Coincidentally, these are all hobbies of Accounting Today's past Accountants of the Month, which I had the opportunity to learn about while profiling the winners.

Our Facebook contest to "prove that accountants aren't boring," will come to a close in our next issue.

This in no way ends our mission to seek out the talented, wacky and dedicated CPAs among you, however. We will continue exploring interesting personalities in regular feature articles and spotlights, and encourage you to keep submitting stories about your exploits or those of your officemates.
