INTUIT LAUNCHES CLOUD PROADVISOR PROGRAM

Mountain View, Calif. -- Accounting software vendor Intuit Inc. has launched a new QuickBooks Cloud ProAdvisor Program. Much like Intuit's regular ProAdvisor program, the new cloud program offers members a number of benefits, including free access to QuickBooks Online Accountant, free training and certification, support, and marketing resources, including a listing in an online referral directory.

The program is designed for accountants who have or are looking to develop a cloud-focused practice, stated product manager Jyothi Trishuleshwar. "It's good for anyone who wants to grow a cloud practice online," he explained. "The regular ProAdvisor program is for those who want to do everything - desktop only, or desktop and cloud -- but the cloud program is for those who just want cloud customers."

 

GRANT THORNTON BUYS ORACLE CONSULTING UNIT

Chicago -- Grant Thornton has acquired the Oracle consulting business of MarketSphere, a Kansas City, Mo.-based business consulting firm, which expands Grant Thornton's technology solutions practice. The purchase gives Grant Thornton more than 160 business process and technology consultants. The firm's Advisory Services Group provides independent advice to public, private and not-for-profit organizations in areas such as business consulting, mergers and acquisitions, forensics, valuation, restructuring, and risk and controls.

The team advises on complying with changing legislation, managing risk, containing costs, leveraging technology investments, streamlining business processes and identifying strategic transaction opportunities.

 

FAYE BUSINESS SYSTEMS JOINS ACUMATICA CHANNEL

Woodland Hills, Calif. -- Sage North America partner Faye Business Systems Group has joined the Acumatica channel, adding to its overall cloud product offerings. In addition to selling Sage 100 ERP, FayeBSG represents cloud products from SugarCRM and Intacct. Acumatica is actively recruiting partners who represent Sage and SAP, Microsoft and competing ERP products.
