The Gift That Keeps on Giving

College graduates don’t have a lot to look forward to these days – especially with unemployment at a 25-year high and employers expecting to hire 22 percent fewer graduates this year than last, according to a survey by the National Association of Colleges and Employers.

In an effort to help new grads build a strong financial foundation, The Ohio Society of CPAs, offers the latest in its college podcast series, “Navigate your finances in a turbulent economy."

The podcasts can be downloaded to CD or onto a MP3 player or iPod.

Matt Yuskewich, CPA and chair elect of The Ohio Society of CPAs covers topics specifically for college graduates embarking into the working world in four brief podcasts. Listeners can expect to hear bits on:

•    Career Options: Should graduates consider part-time employment in today’s tight job market and which retirement and saving options are best if you are only working part time?

•    Tax Tips: Learn helpful tax tips for today’s economy and how to make your refund work for you.
