Accounting Students, Check this Scholarship Out

These days, when it comes to saving or paying for college, every little bit of help counts.

That’s why if you’re an undergrad or graduate student passionate about a career in accounting, you should check out a scholarship opportunity being offered by the National Society of Accountants (NSA).

The foundation is currently accepting applications for its 2010 scholarships – and you have a little time to get it together – as the applications must be postmarked by March 10, 2010.

Last year, the NSA awarded scholarships ranging from $500 to $2,000 each to 28 students who are committed to pursuing a career in accounting. Since 1969, the Foundation has provided nearly $1 million in scholarships to develop more qualified young accountants.

Recipients are selected from hundreds of applicants on the basis of an overall outstanding academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, stated goals and aspirations, and financial need.

If you are interested, send your application to Scholarship Management Services, a division of Scholarship America, which is managing the application process. For guidelines and more information visit www.nsacct.org/foundation.asp.
