Crowe Horwath Establishes Tennessee Endowment

Graduates of the University of Tennessee who work in Crowe Horwath’s Knoxville and Nashville offices are giving back to their alma mater.

The firm has recently established the Crowe Horwath Accounting Excellence Endowment to support the University of Tennessee’s Department of Accounting and Information Management in its College of Business Administration.

Funded by University of Tennessee alumni in the firm’s Knoxville and Nashville offices and by Crowe Horwath, the firm guarantees that a minimum of $25,000 will be donated over a five year period. The fund is part of the Campaign for Tennessee, a $1 billion fundraising effort at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

Crowe has a long standing relationship with the University of Tennesse and many Crowe personnel are UT alumni,” said Rebecca Hurt, a senior manager in Crowe’s Knoxville office. “The endowment will help the university to improve its accounting program so its graduates can continue becoming leaders in our profession.”
