David Evans, a graduate from the University of Tennessee and managing member of Dixon Hughes’ Atlanta office, was presented with the Outstanding Young Alum award at the university’s first Annual Alumni Awards Gala.

The award was one of the three alumni awards presented for the first time by the university’s College of Business Administration.

“Winning the award was a complete surprise to me and an incredible honor,” Evans said. “UT is a special place for me. It has talented and dedicated faculty that made a big contribution to my career and the careers of many other people in our firm.”

Evans graduated from UT in 1995 with a Master of Accountancy in Taxation and in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He participates in the annual Accounting Roundtable, an alumni advisory board that counsels the Department of Accounting and Information Management. He is also actively involved in recruiting accounting graduates for Dixon Hughes.
