Do You Know About The CFO Alliance?

Founded in 2007, by two RSM McGladrey employees looking to promote connectivity between chief financial officers, The CFO Alliance may just be a group worth checking out.

The group, which came to be in Philadelphia by Nick Araco Jr. and Greg Wood, strives to bring financial executives together with leading academic and industry partners in a discussion-oriented platform to “discuss, dissect, and debate the critical issues” that they face.

In two years membership grew from 47 people to more than 500 CFOs. Established chapters of the group are in New York, Boston, Washington D.C., Connecticut, Charlotte, Phoenix and New Jersey, with plans for four additional U.S. chapters and five European chapters and expansion into China early next year.

One thing to keep an eye out for is the upcoming launch of a niche CFO social networking community – www.AchieveNext.com, which will allows members to connect and share relevant information and best practices, as well as, offer an internet-based radio show called “CFO Talk.”
