Jericho, N.Y-based Grassi & Co. is partnering with one of its clients to help raise money for Haiti after the country suffered a devastating earthquake last week.
All donations collected by firm employees are being matched by Grassi & Co.
Tom Iovino, of Judlau Contracting, formed a charitable family foundation called The iF Foundation, which has been working in Haiti for the past three years. Tom and Judlau are clients of Grassi & Co. and the Foundation is in the process of strategizing a relief plan for the country.
The firm posted a message from the iF Foundations managing director, The Rev. Canon James Byrum, who is currently in Haiti learning more about the situation.
Given the enormity and scope of this disaster, we want to make an immediate difference in Haiti to help alleviate the suffering, Byrum wrote. We have several people on the ground that we know will guide us in determining the best way to accomplish our mission.
