Where are the CPAs who Ride Harleys?

Steve Purdy is a HarleyDavidson-riding CPA in Shockoe Slip , Va. who was recently profiled inthe Richmond Times-Dispatch, where he said, “Not many CPAs I know are intothem.”

Perhaps other CPAs who rideshould get in touch with Purdy?

It’s a short profile, but interesting nonetheless, as we learn Purdy, who is 28, focused onaccounting at James Madison University because he wanted to work for the FBI.

He didn’t get to the FBI, though– instead he worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers in McLean and then switched to acompetitor, Ernst & Young, where he worked until this month when he joinedMeadows Urquhart Acree & Cook in Richmond .There he’ll focus on taxation of hedge funds, partnerships and consolidatedentities, according to the profile.

And, in his spare time, he’llride his Harley. Read the profile here.
