Four From Elliott Davis to Serve on SCACPA Young Leadership Cabinet

The South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants – which created their Young CPAs Leadership Cabinet last year – has chosen four professionals from Elliott Davis as members.

K. Leigh Schaefers has been named as Chair of the Executive Committee of the Young CPAs Leadership Cabinet for 2010-11. Schaefers, who is a senior assurance manager in the firm’s Charleston office, will be serving her second year in the program.

Howie Houston will also be serving his second year in the Cabinet. He is an assurance manager in the firm’s Greenville office.

Also in the Greenville office and a member of the cabinet this year is Cory Ouellette, one of seven CPAs named to the Cabinet Class of 2010-11. Ouellette is a tax manager.

And Marcus Tomlinson is serving his second year in the program – he works as an assurance manager in the firm’s Columbia office.

Each member will serve a two-year term beginning May 1. The cabinet’s mission is to increase membership and participate in SCACPA by providing young CPAs with networking and leadership development opportunities, to enhance the value of Association membership for young members; to inform the Association leadership about issues important to its young members; and to develop future leaders of the Association, the profession and the community.
