Stacy Sturgeon, a partner in KPMGs audit practice, has been named the firms new national managing partner for university relations and recruiting, succeeding Manny Fernandez, who has served in the role for the past four years.
In her new position, Sturgeon will be responsible for the firms university and recruiting programs and faculty relations. Shell oversee the firms U.S. and global internship program, faculty and classroom resources and training, and student diversity and leadership development initiatives.
Cultivating future generations of business leaders is a key contributor toward sustaining a thriving global marketplace, Sturgeon said. I hope to drive our recruiting and university relations programs forward, continuing to position us well on campus in the eyes of both professors and students.
Sturgeon joined KPMGs Dallas office in 1992 and has more than 17 years of experience providing audit and related services to public and private clients. She has served as a member of KPMGs Womens Advisory Board, a role in which she oversaw the expansion of that network from three chapters to 60.
